Our afterschool hydroponics students worked collaboratively with Chartwells to create delicious pizzas using fresh tomatoes, basil, and jalapeños grown right in our laboratory. This hands-on experience provided students with a meaningful and engaging connection to healthy cooking and nutrition. A special thanks to Ms. Rennie and Mr. Vitale for making this memorable activity possible!

The Union City Board of Education and the Medical Department are proud to celebrate National Nurses Week. It is an important occasion to honor everything nurses do on a daily basis.

The Esther Salas Academy hosted a special parent Workshop titled " Resilient Parents". It consisted of "Eight Points to Strengthen Ourselves and Overcome Obstacles." The event, organized by Nancy Francisco, our Parent Liaison, was designed to bring parents together, foster community, and provide encouragement and support.

Our 8th Grade students enjoyed a wonderful opportunity to connect with Chef Azlin Bloor via Zoom, where they prepared dishes using fresh ingredients. A special thanks to Dr. Anthony Dragona, Ms. Earlene Cruz, and Chartwells for supporting this experience and helping our students explore the art of cooking.

We are proud to present the first edition of the ESA Bilingual Newspaper, “Voces Hispanas.” We thank our Spanish Club for their dedication and Mrs. Miriam Hernandez for her support in this great achievement.

From classrooms to communities, our students are learning the importance of protecting our planet. Every action, big or small, helps build a more sustainable future.
